Kudus trends after Black Stars’ goalless draw against Sudan

Some Ghanaians on social media have criticized Black Stars captain Mohammed Kudus for his performance in Ghana’s game against Sudan in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

According to them, Kudus should have buried the chances he got in the game to give Ghana victory rather than the disappointing goalless draw result.

Others also noted that the way he performs for his club team, West Ham United, is totally different from what he gives to the Black Stars during matches.

Some netizens called on Kudus to do better and step up in tough moments after he was named to be among the captains of the national team.

Captain Mohammed Kudus played a pivotal role in creating chances but was unable to score with the opportunities he had.

Ghana now has two points, lying in third position in Group F of the qualifiers as the team’s chances become slimmer.

Angola is leading the table with six points, followed by Sudan in second position with four points.

The Black Stars will face Sudan again in the return leg on October 15, 2025.
