Kokomlemle fire kills 2 children
Two siblings were trapped and killed in a fire outbreak that gutted their house at Kokomlemle in Accra at about 10:30 pm on Friday.
Ten-year-old Junior Okai and his brother Stephen Okai were said to be asleep in their room when the incident occurred.
Eyewitnesses said they heard the children yelling for help.
Three other family members also sustained various degrees of injury, a station fire officer at the headquarters of the Ghana National Fire Service, Mr Eugene Ahomi said in an interview with Accra-based Joy FM.
Mr Ahomi, however, said the cause of the fire is yet to be established.
