Kings Group Shapes Lifestyles, Builds Societies – CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Kings Group of Companies, Mr. Ekow Nkrumah-Bentum, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to shaping lifestyles and building society through innovation, job creation, and corporate social responsibility.
He said that Kings Group, with branches in Accra and Takoradi and over 120 dedicated staff members, not only manufactures furniture but also shapes lifestyles and sets the standard for excellence.
“Our products are designed with the customer in mind: stylish, functional, durable, and accessible. We invest in modern techniques and technologies to ensure we remain competitive and forward-thinking,” he added.
Speaking at the official opening of the company’s first ultra-modern furniture shop, Furniture Mall, at the Takoradi Mall in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis (STMA), he described the occasion as a proud and vital milestone in Kings Group’s journey, which began over thirty years ago in 1992.
He noted that the company, which was formally registered in 1996, will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year and hinted at upcoming celebrations to mark the milestone.
“With the support of apprentices and a strong dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction, we established a foundation that has carried us this far. Just as we have grown, we continue to train and empower young Ghanaians, offering not just employment but clear pathways to career development across all our companies,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude to the people of the Western and Central Regions for their enduring support over the years, stating that their belief in Kings Group has been its strength through the highs and lows of its journey.
Introducing the new Furniture Mall, he said it has been strategically positioned to offer stylish, high-quality, and affordable furniture solutions for customers who appreciate both luxury and value.
He assured customers that the mall’s curated collections, ranging from contemporary designs to timeless classics, reflect sophistication, comfort, and artistic flair.
In his welcome address, Mr. Sylvester Anan-Mensah, General Manager of Kings Group Ghana Limited, highlighted the company’s commitment to giving back to society.
He disclosed that for the first half of the year, Kings Group had provided cash donations, furniture, and educational support to several institutions, organizations, and individuals, amounting to One Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Six Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢170,600.00).
At the event, twelve (12) institutions from the Western and Central Regions received donations as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative.
The beneficiaries included Holy Child College of Education, Rapid Deployment Forces (RDF) of the Ghana Police Service in Takoradi, Ghana Prisons Service (Male Section, Sekondi), Good Shepherd Anglican Junior High (Effia New-Site), Takoradi Technical Institute (TTI), Opportunities Industrialization Technical Institute, Catholic Special Vocation School (Sekondi), Moree D/A Basic School, Police Basic School (Cape Coast), Ghana National Fire Service – Asankragua, All Saints Anglican Junior High School (Takoradi), and Powerful Jesus Prayer Ministry.
Mr. Abdul Majeed Dokurgu, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly, commended Mr. Nkrumah-Bentum for his humility, innovation, and consistency, which have driven the success of Kings Group over the years.
He further praised the company for its contributions to job creation, human development, and institutional growth, urging staff to continue giving their best to propel the company to greater heights.
