Kechi Okwuchi names Nigerian artistes she’ll want to collaborate with

The AGT finalist stated that she would take all measure at her disposal to make sure that when these personalities contacted her, she would make a tremendous effort.

Kechi added that she would like to collaborate with Maleek Berry and Cobhams Asuquo as producers due to their calm personalities.

She said: “In general, I would love to collaborate with Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Mary J. Blige, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage and Waje.

“Maleek Berry and Cobhams Asuquo are cool producers that I would like to work with too. If any of them reaches out to me today for a collaboration, I will do all I can to make it happen.”

When asked about how she got on America’s Got Talent in 2017, Kechi said that a friend of hers signed up for the competition without her knowledge.

She said that her friend signed her up for America’s Got Talent because she thought it would be wise to display her talents because she frequently recorded herself singing but wouldn’t share the videos on social media.

As someone who only sings at church, Kechi admitted that she was quite nervous about having to perform in front of so many people, who would ultimately judge how well or poorly she did.

She said: “I felt scared being on the show at first. I was just singing in church, and I had to sing for an audience that would decide whether my performance was good or bad. I had never done anything like that before.”
