Kato Divisional Chiefs Appeals to Otumfuo to intervene in their Chieftaincy issues for peace to prevail at Berekum Kato

The Chief and people of Berekum Kato have made a passionate appealed  to Asantehene Otumfuo  osei Tutu II to intervene in their Chieftaincy issues  in order for peace to prevail in the Community.

 

According to Nananom and the youth of Kato, they belong to the Asona Clan and as a matter of fact they belong to Asanteman Kingdom.

 

 

Narrating their issues, they made it Clear that they worship Otumfuo and Kato stool land belongs to Asanteman .

 

They are living in fears at Berekum Kato due to the high presence of the military taken over Berekum Kato.

 

To them traditionally Kato owe allegiance to Asantehene and therefore appealed to Otumfuo to invite them at his palace for peace to prevail.

 

These took place during a press Conference held at Berekum Kato at their palace, present at the press conference were the chiefs of Kato, the royal family and the Kato Youth Association.

 

This was made known to PeaceFM Correspondent Deacon Oteng Appau of Dormaa FM in the Bono Region in a press Conference at Berekum Kato.

 

On her part, 105 years old woman who is the head of Kato Royal family Nana Afia Adwubi expressed her worry on frequent present of the military and appeal to Otumfuo and the authorities to intervene.
