Irie Ites studio hits the world with its mystic roots riddim

Ghana’s most prolific reggae-dancehall production house, still won’t let the third quarter end un-electrified. The studio is hitting the world with its first ever one-riddim-through roots reggae album before mid August —- the Mystic Roots Riddim [the riddim of the album] was created by Tunz, an in-house producer.

With its viby pre-neo reggae elements interlaced with some subtle bits of today’s urban hip beats, Tunz’s Mystic Roots Riddim comes in a mild mutual taste that invokes a good-old-days reminiscence trip for the very older reggae fan class and yet a youth-friendly history trip for reggae’s new generation lovers who have a strong crave for old time reggae collections. The coherent time nostalgia the riddim carries will most likely make the 60 and 70’s born feel like they are living in a past present, their youthfulness musically revived.

The Irie Ites Studio stepped beyond home confines this release, giving its Mystic Roots Riddim album another first, aside it being the studio’s maiden roots reggae project —- it has three foreign nationals on its artiste list: Subajah of UK and Ras Charmer and Phocas of Jamaica. In addition to them is a strong list of 17 equally talented home artistes, making it a total of 20 artistes on the shortlist.

Irie Ites aimed at quickening the world with a reminiscent reggae riddim that would command truly clean lyrics from the selected artistes for the purpose of continued genre revival, thus the prime priority for putting up this roots reggae project was to revive the receding consciousness roots reggae is presently losing grip of. In this vein, the songs on the album are a duly scrutinized works that are devoid of vulgarity, curse words and misdemeanor.
