Intercity STC sets records straight over wild allegations about its operations

The state-run transport operator, Intercity STC Coaches Limited has formally reacted to a feature article published on GhanaWeb with the headline “The STC Bus Conundrum – Unpacking the link to NPP Party Officials.”

STC in a press release dated June 18, 2024, described the piece by one Awadzi Yaw Simon as “just a write up of lies and fabrications.”

The article published on June 11, 2024, made allegations about the current ownership structure of the company and its profit sharing arrangement before wading into alleged ownership of some of the current fleet by New Patriotic Party (NPP) members including by the STC MD, Nana Akomea.

The release, a copy of which is available with GhanaWeb, titled “RE: THE STC BUS CONUNDRUM – SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT” laid out six facts about their operations.

The release was signed by Ing John Awuku Dzuazah, the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Technical and Engineering Services.
