‘Insult to womanhood, Nigeria’ – Ugezu reacts to Bobrisky’s Best Dressed Female award

Nollywood director Ugezu Ugezu has criticized the choice of crossdresser, Bobrisky emerging as the Best Dressed Female at a recent movie premiere.

Bobrisky emerged winner of the award at the “Best of Two Worlds” movie premiere that featured other popular female celebrities including Nollywood stars like Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe and Sola Sobowale.

Reacting, Ugezu asked why the crossdresser received the award when there were well-groomed female celebrities present.

He claimed a lot of Nigerians had lost it, saying it was absurd for a man to win that particular award at a human-organized event.

Ugezu added that the act was a slap on the face to women who put in a lot of effort every day to better themselves.

He said: “So many people have lost it. How can a man win the prize for the best-dressed female in an event organized by human beings?

“Is this sincerely not a slap on the faces of our women who are working hard every day to be the best of themselves?

“Sometimes, I pause and ponder, where are we headed in this country? No be government do this one. Na we just dey mumu dey insult our country.”
