I’ll actively contribute to NDC when Rawlings takes over in 2021 – Allotey

Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs says he will join the National Democratic Congress (NDC) when Jerry John Rawlings takes over his political party in 2021.

According to him, he will put his expertise to bare when founder of the NDC takes over the leadership of the party.

The suspended member of the NDC said he was not going to tell whether he believes the NDC will lose or win but was sure that Jerry John Rawlings was going to take back his political party in 2021 and he will then join the party’s activities.

“For now, I’m a social commentator but after 2021 when Rawlings takes over his political party, I will offer my loyal support to the party. You are not a politician, in politics we undergo re-engineering. I have not said any colour will lose.” He disclosed in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Allotey Jacobs noted that he continues to remain loyal to former President Atta Mills but indicated that people who swore loyalty to Rawlings are now maligning him and that will be the fall of the NDC.

“My point is that don’t malign the very person who made you who you are. Never in my life will I mention any ill about Professor Mills. He’s my earthly saint. The people who were so close to Professor Mills go Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, go and ask Ludwig, go and ask Koku Anyidoho. So if you mention his name and you don’t mention it right, we will come after you.

Every human being has its own fallibility so if things that are supposed to be a secret comes to the public domain… Look President Rawlings the people who are maligning him now are the same people who were saying yes sir, yes sir. If you malign him then you’re a hypocrite, you’re a sycophant. The person who has made you what you are today. You can hold so many degrees to become Professor Emeritus but before you become the emeritus, it takes a certain platform.”
