IGP Yohuno engages Nungua traditional authorities

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), on Thursday, visited the Nungua Traditional Area.

The IGP met separately with the Nungua Mantse, Oboade Notse King Professor Odaifio Welentsi III, and the Gborbu Wulormor, Nuumo Borketey Laweh XXXIII, to strengthen ties between the Police Service and traditional authorities.

Yohuno thanked the Nungua Traditional Council for their support in maintaining peace and security in the region.

He emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration to enhance community safety and uphold law and order.

The traditional leaders welcomed the IGP, congratulated him on his appointment, and urged him to work closely with all stakeholders to improve security nationwide.

They assured him of their support and wished him success.

The IGP was accompanied by COP/ Daniel Afriyie, Director-General of Private Security Organizations; COP/Dr Ernest Owusu, Director-General of Services; COP Michael Nketiah Frempong, Director-General of Finance; DCOP/Lydia Yaako Donkor, Director-General of CID; and DCOP/ Fredrick Blogodzie, Director-General of HRD.
