‘I was a troll before becoming famous’ – Ayra Starr

Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has disclosed that she used to be a troll on social media before gaining fame.

The 22-year-old singer revealed that she had a fan page dedicated to rapper Nicki Minaj.

Ayra Starr made this known during her appearance on the ‘I Said What I Said’ podcast, co-hosted by Feyikemi Abudu and Jola Ayeye.

“I had a troll page, I had a Nicki Minaj fan page before I became Ayra Starr,” she said.

After becoming famous, Ayra Starr has used her platform to fight against bullying from online trolls.

Ayra Starr has received criticism over her skimpy dressing. In response to a troll, Ayra Starr once said that her “bad postures” were due to the weight of carrying Afrobeats singlehandedly.
