How Selfishness made Asake lose opportunities worth $4m in 2024

The London-based promoter, Tunde Phoenix, claimed that Asake is both greedy and lazy.

In his Instagram story, he stated that the singer passed on several profitable performance opportunities in 2024, supposedly because he was not willing to split the earnings with his team.

He wrote: “Oh, a show which I will not mention because it’s not publicly announced. But as soon as it’s public, I will reference it. A national show with global stars, which I won’t mention out of respect for the other parties involved,” he wrote.

“Figure: 1st offer: Six figures and not $500K × 3 shows + Name your production cost. 2nd offer: We really, really want [him] nationally—name your price. Okay, close to $1 million per show because we want him. Me and @iamstevenator.
