Here are the 18 football clubs to compete in 2024/25 Ghana Premier League

The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign officially came to an end on Sunday, June 16, 2024, with Samartex emerging as winners.

At the end of the season, Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United suffered demotion to the Division ranks.

However, three clubs from the Division One League have been promoted to the elite league and are expected to compete against some of the top guns in the 2024/25 season.

The newly promoted teams, including Young Apostles, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC, are expected to feature in the domestic top flight next season after gaining promotion from the Division One League.

Several teams were battling against relegation going into the final day games, including powerhouse Hearts of Oak.

But the Phobians defeated Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday afternoon to maintain their status in the league.

The Rainbow Boys came from behind to snatch an all-important 3-2 win over the Hunters to survive relegation.

Heading into the final days, Bofoakwa Tano and Real Tamale United had already suffered relegation from the top flight following unimpressive performances.

Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, and Karela United were all battling relegation on the final day, but the Phobians and Karela United prevailed as Great Olympics finished in the relegation zone.

Olympics, former league champions, finished in 16th position with 44 points, while Bofoakwa Tano and RTU placed 17th and 18th positions, respectively.

Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United will reflect on their performances, identify areas of improvement, and strive to make a quick return to the Ghanaian top flight.
