Hearts of Oak’s ultra-modern secretariat reportedly up for rent?

Hearts of Oak’s ultra-modern secretariat has reportedly been put up for rent.

The state-of-the-art facility in Adabraka was officially handed over to the club’s leadership in July 2024, as Executive Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV affirmed that the facility would serve as the club’s new Commercial Centre.

Despite this, reports circulating indicate that the club has leased the ground floor for commercial purposes.

While the news has sparked curiosity, there is still uncertainty surrounding the move, as the club has yet to confirm whether the space is indeed available for lease or if it’s just a rumor.

In 2022, the Phobians took a significant step by demolishing their old building at Asylum Down, clearing the way for the construction of this new, modern facility.

During the club’s Annual General Meeting held in April 2024, Togbe Afede XIV revealed that the facility cost GH¢9 million.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, April 6, 2025, Hearts of Oak beat Medeama SC to move to fourth place on the Ghana Premier League standings, six points behind leaders Asante Kotoko, who are on 46 points after 25 games.

The team will face newly promoted side Vision FC in their next game on Friday, April 11, 2025.
