Mensah is set to portray the character “Segun” in the film, which will have its historic first screening at the Edo State Government House. This choice of premiere venue underscores the project’s importance and highlights the Edo State Government’s commitment to supporting the creative arts industry.
The movie, produced in partnership with the Edo State Government and powered by Akogun Multimedia, boasts an impressive ensemble cast. It features celebrated Nollywood veterans such as Alex Osifo, Jude Orhorha, and Yemi Blaq, bringing a wealth of experience and star power to the production.
This film is a testament to growing cross-border collaboration within the African film industry, specifically between Ghana and Nigeria. The cast includes Ghanaian actors Nana Yaa Agyare and Destiny Austine Omon. Notably, Omon, a Nollywood actor based in Ghana, also serves as both the writer and producer of the film, highlighting the multi-faceted talents driving this collaboration.
Under the direction of Davison Izegaegbe, the film is described as one of the biggest “ghetto” themed productions to emerge from Nollywood.
