Four Ghanaian-Nigerian celebrity marriages that are worth celebrating

Celebrity marriages between Ghana and Nigeria have always been beautiful. Although some did not last, there are a few who have literally taken the “Till death do us part” phrase very seriously, with the latest in town proving to be goals for bachelors and spinsters seeking to get married too.

Headlines are always made every time there is a collaboration between Ghana and Nigeria, from movies to music to romantic relationships.

Both countries have had to work together and collaborate because of their undeniable similarities.

Here are three of Ghana-Nigeria marriages going hard and strong;

1. Becca and Tobi

Ghanaian singer Becca, and her Nigerian beau, a music executive, Oluwatobi Sanni Daniels tied the knot in August 2018. This came as a surprise to the public because they kept their relationship private until they made it to the alter.

The couple welcomed a baby girl 7 months later.

Six years down the line, and the couple is still growing strong.

2. Theresa and Iyiola Ayoade

Multicultural couple Theresa and Iyiola Ayoade met in Accra, Ghana 27 years ago. Theresa, the CEO of Charterhouse Multiple Concept Group, was 26 when she met Iyiola Ayoade, the Group CEO of Multiple Concepts Group and Charterhouse while working at Joy FM.

Their love story began with a friendly chit-chat, lunching, and discussing business ideas, politics, and football; they fell in love and got married.

3. Captain Planet and Uche Ofodile

Captain Planet of 4X4 fame is married to Uche Ofodile, former Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana.

The couple got married on June 20, 2014, in a very private ceremony in Accra.

Although there have been controversies surrounding their marriage due to their very different occupations, the two have been inseparable and made sure to keep their marriage out of the public eye.

4. Moses Bliss and Marie Wiseborn

Nigerian Gospel Singer Moses Bliss Uyoh Enang, popularly known as Moses Bliss recently tied the knot with his wife, Marie Wiseborn.

The couple met on Instagram after Marie tagged him in a video of her dancing to his popular song, ‘Miracle no Dey tire Jesus’.

Moses released videos of his proposal to Marie on January 19, 2024, followed by a civil wedding on February 27, 2024, in Abuja, Nigeria. The couple had a traditional wedding ceremony in the capital of Ghana, on February 29, 2024, and a white wedding on March 2, 2024.
