Founder of KAMA Group of Companies is dead

Michael Agyekum Addo, a Ghanaian entrepreneur and founder of the KAMA Group of Companies, has died at the age of 74.

According to asaaseradio.com, Addo passed away on Friday, November 1, leaving behind a legacy in the pharmaceutical and business sectors.

Addo, who was conferred with an honourary doctorate by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2005, had a distinguished career marked by innovation and leadership.

In 2022, he was among the 88 PhD graduates from the University of Ghana, a testament to his commitment to continuous learning and academic excellence.

He is reported to have established the KAMA Group in 1986, initially operating out of a small pharmaceutical shop in Kumasi.

In addition to his entrepreneurial achievements, Addo held the title of Nkabomhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area in Koforidua, Eastern Region.
