FIFA U-17 World Cup emblem unveiled as excitement builds for expanded tournament

FIFA has unveiled the official emblem for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025, marking a major milestone ahead of the tournament’s first 48-team edition.

The emblem cleverly features the iconic trophy silhouette carved into the “U” of “U-17”, symbolising a spotlight shining on the next generation of global football stars.

Taking place from November 3 to 27, 2025, the tournament will feature 104 matches and promises to showcase young talents from around the world.

The design’s vibrant layers of colour represent unity, dynamism, and the global reach of football, with a brand identity that reflects both heritage and a bold vision for the future.

“This emblem captures the spirit of youth football and the promise of tomorrow’s stars. Qatar’s world-class infrastructure will offer a perfect stage for these players to shine,” said FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström.

Qatar’s Minister of Sports and Youth, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, added that the country is optimistic about delivering.

“This is a proud next step in our continued investment in youth sport. We look forward to hosting the world once again,” he said during the event that was streamed on FIFA+ on Monday, May 12, 2025, and monitored by GhanaWeb.

Germany, the reigning champions, will look to defend their title as the tournament prepares to welcome emerging stars who may follow in the footsteps of legends like Ronaldinho, Xavi, and Neymar.

The tournament draw takes place on May 25, 2025, in Doha and will be streamed live on FIFA+.
