I’m not disrespectful, I’m just firm – Hannah Bissiw

Former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and former Member of Parliament for Tano South in the Brong Ahafo Region, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw, has rejected claims that she is arrogant and rude.

Dr. Bissiw, who is currently aspiring for the National Women’s Organizer position in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been tagged as arrogant, rude and disrespectful by some political watchers and opponents.

The former Tano South MP was speaking with Kaakyire Ofori Ayim on Atinka FM ’s hot political show “Simpieso” Thursday.

“I am respectful and down to earth. I am just firm and a straightforward woman who hates hypocrisy and sycophancy to the core. My constituents can attest to this; I have been this firm all my life and I think that is my greatest strength,” she noted.

According to her, she gets the longest convoy anytime she is in her constituency due to the kind of relationship she has with Taxi drivers in her constituency adding, “someone who has no respect for the elderly cannot be loved by all, including taxi drivers. Let your works speak for you”.

Commenting on how she has helped the women’s wing of the NDC, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw, mentioned that her commitment to the women’s wing of the NDC goes way back to her time as deputy minister.

She reiterated that, she is committed to the NDC and that she will work hard to bring the party back to power and transform the women’s wing of the party if given the nod as National Women’s Organizer.
