Ex-convict accused prison officers of stealing donated items

Ex-prisoner Nana Kwame accused officers of allegedly stealing items donated to the prisoners at Kumasi central prison in the Ashanti region.

A video sighted on Ghanaian celebrity and YouTube content creator, Kwaku Manu’s YouTube channel (Kwaku Manu Tv) saw an ex-prisoner who spent more than 10years in jail.

The Ashanti Newtown ghetto youth Nana Kwame shares his long term experience in jail.

In the video, He (ex-prisoner) detailed the lifestyle in prison, how officers treats inmates, the kind of food they give them, illegal business prisoners does, dealing of drugs etc.

“There is no life in prison” says Nana Kwame. He also advised the youth and the public not to engage in any illegal activities that will end them in prison. During his stay in the prison, he became gate keeper and also introduced selling of food in the yard.
