PNP confirms Janet Nabla as flagbearer for December 7 polls

The People’s National Party (PNP) has officially confirmed Miss Janet Asana Nabla as its flagbearer for the upcoming presidential election.

The decision was made following a decisive meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Dr. Edmund Ayesu has also been confirmed as Ms. Nabla’s running mate.

This move is seen as a major step forward for the PNP in its bid to offer Ghana a leadership team dedicated to transformative change.

Ms. Nabla, who has an extensive background in public service, health administration, and political leadership, is noted for her commitment to gender equality, economic sovereignty, and social justice.

She also made history as the first female General Secretary of a political party in Ghana, the party said in a statement addressed to the press.

Dr. Ayesu, a respected academic and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Social Science Research at Kumasi Technical University brings a wealth of experience in applied econometric modelling, policy design, and civil society activism.

His expertise aligns closely with the PNP’s vision for a prosperous and equitable Ghana.

The NEC’s decision reflects the party’s confidence in the leadership of Ms. Nabla and Dr. Ayesu, whom they view as the ideal team to lead the PNP into the upcoming elections.

The party has called on all Ghanaians to support their vision of a future that prioritizes the well-being and prosperity of every citizen.
