Efia Odo and Sister Afia continue Twitter war

The reignited feud between Sista Afia and Efia Odo has gained momentum as the duo have engaged in a series of verbal spats on Twitter.

The latest clash began when a Twitter user shared a bikini photo of Sista Afia, prompting a popular influencer to jokingly suggest it was Efia Odo.

Offended by the comparison, Efia Odo demanded not to be disrespected, which led Sista Afia to retaliate by calling her an “industry machine.”

This term criticises Efia Odo’s alleged associations with multiple male artistes.

Efia Odo did not reply to the jab directly.

However, fast-forward to 12 July 2024, in reply to a follower asking her when a fight was coming on, she replied, “Pretty girls don’t fight, it’s the ones who look like gorillas that fight. They don’t have any looks to protect.”

She followed by posting a picture of the behind of a gorilla.

Meanwhile, Sista Afia, also did not directly address Efia Odo but made a post suggesting Efia Odo had bleached her skin amidst the use of unprintable words.

She later accused Efia Odo of not owning the plush East Legon restaurant she had been flaunting on social media, saying, “You be manager for someone en Restaurant you dey claim e bi your own. It’s okay hunny brand yourself ahhh.”

In a direct response, Efia Odo posted, “You mad your keleweke joint broke down sis I’m a CEO and it ain’t nothing fake about that. Unlike your double bbl. Should’ve used that money to fix your face.”

She capped her response with a bible quote, “Romans 12:19 ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.’ I’m too classy for this filth, I’m done. A lot of people mad I’m doing better than them. Twitter fingers ain’t for me, get in the booth!”

While it’s not clear if their beef will come to an end anytime soon, fans and followers of the duo have been reacting to the banter.

While some appear to be enjoying the exchanges, others have called for calm.

How did this all start?

Sista Afia and Efia Odo’s animosity dates back to 2019, when the former accused the latter of sleeping with men for money, triggering a bitter social media exchange.

Efia Odo also repeatedly body-shamed Sista Afia in a deeply provocative manner.

Tensions escalated further when a physical altercation nearly occurred on the premises of TV3, subsequently resolved with an apology during a live reconciliation on United Showbiz in 2020.

Despite this public attempt at reconciliation, the relationship between Sista Afia and Efia Odo remains fraught, with no signs of reconciliation.
