Davido announces decision to cease custody battle over daughter Imade

In a series of heartfelt tweets, Nigerian music superstar Davido has announced his decision to step back from seeking custody of his daughter, Imade Aurora Adeleke. Expressing his enduring love for her, Davido emphasized that his efforts to fight for her custody will become apparent to her as she grows older.

“Imade will grow up to see that I fought for her… but for now, you can have her… P.S. she won’t be a child forever. Enjoy, Imade Aurora Adeleke! Your father loves you,” Davido tweeted.

The artist, known for his hit songs and significant influence in the music industry, highlighted his initial request for joint custody, expressing frustration over the public’s reaction to his situation.

“All I asked for was ‘joint custody,’ but because it’s Davido, y’all want to act like you can’t read! Shaking my head, I’m off this… Be blessed, and I pray this never happens to you,” he continued.

Davido’s statements illuminate the personal struggles he faces amidst his public life, drawing attention to the complexities of custody battles and the emotional toll they take on those involved.
