Cristiano Ronaldo breaks YouTube subscribers’ record hours after launching his channel
Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has set the record for the fastest channel to hit one million subscribers on YouTube.
The Portuguese legend’s new YouTube channel reached a million subscribers in 90 minutes after launching on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
“The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey,” Ronaldo announced on his social media.
After a few hours, the channel amassed a staggering 1.6 million subscribers, setting the record as the fastest to hit the milestone. The account currently has over 15 million subscribers and counting.
Cristiano Ronaldo is regarded as the most influential sports personality in the world. He is the most followed footballer on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
He has 112.5 million followers on X, 170 million on Facebook, and 636 million on Instagram.
The 37-year-old has had a distinguished career that has seen him become a global superstar.
The Al-Nassr forward is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, a five-time UCL winner, led Portugal to their first-ever European triumph, and has numerous individual records to his name while playing for big clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
He is currently in the twilight of his career and plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
