Court strikes out money laundering case against Bobrisky
Lagos Federal High Court judge Abimbola Awogboro dismissed the money laundering charges (counts five and six) brought against the crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky on Friday, April 5, 2024.
The contentious crossdresser appeared in court on a six-count accusation filed by the EFCC, which included charges of naira misuse and other offences.
Suleiman Suleiman, the prosecuting attorney for the EFCC, pleaded with the court to dismiss counts five and six, which deal with money laundering, and to arraign the defendant on counts one through four instead of reading the accusations to him before they were read to him.
Justice Awogboro in light of this, struck out counts five and six leveled against Bobrisky.
