Shatta Wale dumps Hearts for Kotoko

Popular Ghanaian musician, Shatta Wale has ditched Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko after declaring that he now supports the Porcupine Warriors.

The self-acclaimed Dancehall made the declaration on his Twitter.

He explained that his reason for joining Asante Kotoko is due to his ‘godfather’ Dr Kofi Abban appointment as a board member of the club.

Shatta Wale wrote on twitter “Since my godfather, Kofi Abban is now a board member of Asante Kotoko, I am now supporting Kotoko with full vim, including my fans, Wukum Apem A, Apem Beba”.

The business mogul was appointed on to the newly constituted board led by Dr Kwame Kyei last week.

Shatta Wale in May was spotted wearing a Hearts of Oak shirt with many believing he was part of the Phobian family.

This was after he performed in a Legon Cities FC shirt in their Premier League match against Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
