‘I’m disappointed’ – What Victor Osimhen said after opening Galatasaray account in draw against Kasimpasa

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has expressed elation after scoring his first goals for Galatasaray in their 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa at Rams Park, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been the new face of Galatasaray since his loan transfer from Napoli during the summer transfer window. When he joined the club, he was expected to put up big numbers at the club especially due to his previous exploits in the Serie A.

However, after three games, the 25-year-old hitman failed to find the net, albeit he registered four assists.

Nonetheless, Osimhen finally broke the duck on Saturday in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa. The Nigerian opened the scoring in the 20th minute before adding another just eight minutes later.

Unfortunately for Osimhen, he had to be taken of at halftime after sustaining a knock. Galatasaray then capitulated in the second half and had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

After the game, Osimhen took to social media to express his elation at opening his account for the club. He also appreciated the fans for their support.

“It was a great honor to score two goals in today’s match, but I was disappointed that we couldn’t secure the victory. We gave it our all and I’m sure we will come back stronger as a team,” Osimhen wrote on Instagram.

“Dear Galatasaray fans, your support means the world to us and we will not stop fighting to make you all proud. Thank you for your cheers and incredible love. We are just getting started!”

Osimhen will be hoping that his injury is not serious so he can return to action quickly. Next up for Galatasaray is a Europa League game at RFS.
