Black Sherif’s ‘Lord I’m Amazed’ peaks at number 10 on the UK Afrobeat Chart

The multi-award-winning Ghanaian music sensation, Black Sherif, has seen his highly praised single, Lord I’m Amazed, peak at number 10 on the official UK Afrobeat Chart in its first week on the globally acclaimed platform.

The single, which was released on his birthday, January 9, 2024, struck a chord with fans worldwide, becoming the most Shazamed song in Ghana during its first week of release. It also claimed the number one spot on the Apple Top 100 Ghana chart while dominating other digital streaming charts across Africa and Europe.

Renowned for his raw storytelling, dynamic flow, and soul-stirring lyricism, Black Sherif masterfully blends gospel-inspired melodies with heartfelt verses in Lord I’m Amazed. The track chronicles his struggles, triumphs, and unwavering faith, delivering a profound message wrapped in harmonic layers and heartfelt instrumentation.

Following the monumental success of his Zaama Disco concert in Accra last December—where 23,000 fans gathered at the Untamed Empire to witness the 23-year-old musical genius—Black Sherif continues to enjoy astronomical acclaim. His debut album, The Villain I Never Was, alongside a plethora of chart-topping singles and international recognition, solidifies his position as a global icon.

Now gearing up for the release of Iron Boy, his sophomore album, Black Sherif is setting the tone for an exciting year. Lord I’m Amazed provides a powerful prelude to the album, which is expected to delve deeper into themes of perseverance, growth, and breaking new frontiers—all while maintaining the energy and authenticity that have made Black Sherif a household name.

Black Sherif is also set to embark on his Iron Boy North American Tour, kicking off on April 4 at the Howard Theater in Washington, D.C., USA.
