Ayew family celebrates Jordan Ayew for 100th Black Stars appearance, hat-trick against CAR

The family of Ghanaian football icon Abedi Ayew Pele has sent a congratulatory message to Jordan Ayew, who marked his 100th appearance for Ghana with a hat-trick against the Central African Republic on Monday, June 10, 2024.

A statement issued by the family’s spokesperson on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, conveys the family’s pride in Jordan Ayew’s accomplishment.

The statement also highlights Jordan Ayew’s previous hat-trick and wishes him the very best in his club and country endeavors.

“Congratulations, Jordan Ayew, on reaching a remarkable milestone in your national team career. Your second hat-trick for the Black Stars, achieved on your 100th appearance for Ghana, is a resounding testament to your unwavering dedication, hard work, and passion.

“Your first hat trick against South Korea in an international friendly before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil was a memorable feat, and now, your second against the Central African Republic (CAR) in a 2026 World Cup qualifier showcases your consistent excellence and growth as a player.

“May your perseverance and passion continue to inspire many, and may you keep pushing boundaries and making Ghana and your family proud,” the statement reads.

Jordan Ayew produced a performance of a lifetime to ensure Ghana stays on track in its bid to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Jordan Ayew gave Ghana the lead with a trademark finish from the penalty spot before adding one via a header and tapping in from close range to complete his second hat-trick for Ghana.

The victory engineered by Jordan Ayew has moved Ghana to the summit of Group I of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, with the Black Stars managing nine points from four games.
