Audio: Sammy Gyamfi descends on Titus Glover for doing school children politics

The National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has chided Tema East Member of Parliament, Nii Kwartei Titus Glover for lining up basic school pupils to welcome President Akufo-Addo into the Tema East Constituency.

According to the NDC Communication Officer, such acts are tantamount to child labour and should be condemned.

Some placard-wielding pupils, who were drawn from several basic schools in the Tema East Constituency, were seen in photos holding placards with inscriptions designed to advance the political stature of the MP.

Also inscribed on some of the placards are words that glorify President Akufo-Addo who is touring the Greater Accra Region.

It is not clear if the activities of the pupils were sanctioned by the Ghana Education Service but the sheer use of pupils for political party propaganda has come to many people as a shock.

And, Sammy Gyamfi on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Thursday, said the MP’s actions were unacceptable and amounted to the exploitation of school children.

“There should be no place for this in our politics and governance such acts should be condemned,” he said.
