Audio: Asiedu Nketia paints gloomy picture ahead of election 2020

General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is painting a gloomy picture ahead of the 2020 elections, insisting the posture of the current leadership of the Electoral Commission (EC) is a recipe for chaos.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia contends the actions of the jean Mensah-led EC clearly points to an agenda well designed to satisfy a certain interest at the expense of the larger Ghanaian populace.

Speaking at a symposium, organised by the Koforidua Technical University branch of the Tertiary Educational Institutions Network, the NDC secretary warned of dire consequences over what he describes as  the entrenched position adopted by the EC to conduct the upcoming limited registration exercise at the district level against suggestions to do it at electoral areas.

He called on the media and civil society groups to join forces in resisting decisions that will compromise elections in the country.
