Armed men rob national security officer and his family at gunpoint

A group of armed robbers reportedly attacked an official of the National Investigative Bureau (NIB) at his home in Chrispo City, a suburb of Kasoa in the Central Region.

According to a news report by Adom TV on August 21, 2024, the officer and his family were attacked by armed robbers while they were sleeping.

The report indicated that the officer and his wife were tied up by robbers wielding guns and machetes as they were being robbed.

The robbers took all their belongings, including their money, gadgets, and a car.

The Adom TV report also indicated that the robbers manhandled the couple when they refused to give them the PIN codes of their bank accounts.

The National Security officer has since left his wife and children at home since the incident.
