Andre Ayew makes debut at Fenerbahce

 

Ghana international Andre Ayew made a winning start to his Fenerbahçe career as the Turkish giants defeated Italian side Cagliari Calcio 2-1 in a pre-season friendly game on Wednesday.
This was sixth friendly game of Yellow Canaries in pre-season training period with two wins, three draws and one loss. They drew 1-1 with Istanbulspor, lost 1-2 to Swiss side Lausanne, beat Fulham of England 3-0, drew 3-3 with Dutch club Feyenoord, drew 1-1 with Alt?nordu of ?zmir and wrapped up their pre-season preparation with a win against Cagliari.

Ayew, who completed a loan switch from English Premier League side Swansea City on June 6, came on as a second half substitute by replacing Baris Alici at a time Fenerbahce were leading 2-1.

After the match, Ayew posted a message on Twitter expressing his delight at his winning start in Turkey.

“Happy to play my first friendly game for the club???????????????????????????????? good win .we thank Allah.. lets prepare for next week ?? @Fenerbahce,” the midfielder tweeted.

The Turkish Süper Lig kicks off on Friday, August 10 but Fenerbahce will open their campaign the following day with a home clash against Bursapsor.
