Angry concerned NDC Youth of Ho West petitioned the party over the impending election and matters arising

A Concerned Youth Group of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Ho West Constituency in the Volta Region has petitioned the party to provide very clear and fair guidelines for the upcoming branch elections, particularly in their constituency to ensure that things do not get out of hand.
In a statement signed by the  convenor of the group, Mr. Ŋutifafa Kristo Kofi, the concerned youths have urged the party leadership to adopt measures suggested in their petition to ensure that the branch elections shall not be manipulated by a few people for their selfish interests as the signals are suggesting to them in the constituency. We have chanced on their petition and a press version is provided as follows.

CONCERNED NDC YOUTH OF HO WEST CONSTITUENCY
SUGGESTIONS ON THE FORTHCOMING BRANCH ELECTIONS
We are privileged to be given the opportunity to bring to your attention few issues concerning the conduct of the forthcoming branch elections which we anticipate may come off soon.
So far, there are no specific guidelines or directives regarding the branch level elections. However, in Ho West for instance, there are rumours making rounds that some people wish to manipulate the process. We wish to suggest as follows to avert any possible manipulations, please.
We have eight zones in the Ho West Constituency. We wish to respectfully propose that the elections be conducted from zone to zone – one zone at a time by a team, or all Constituency Executives until all the eight zones shall be covered.
In this way, the many of us, the youth, especially, who are interested in the fairness of the process will also be able move with the team to observe and ensure the sanctity of the elections. We believe this will prevent any intended abuse of the elections and offer all of us the opportunity to participate in the process instead of leaving it entirely in the hands of supposed organizing teams whose aim may be to manipulate the process.
We look forward to the party addressing these concerns immediately so that the best results are achieved from the exercise in the constituency and nationwide. We thank you for the opportunity and we look forward to our concerns being addressed.
Thank you.
