Anas exposé on GFA is garbage – Dr. Amakye Boateng

A Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Dr. Kwesi Amakye Boateng has described ace investigative journalist Anas Ayeremyaw Anas exposé on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as garbage which needs to be trashed.

“Anas should not edit and comment on the video. He should allow viewers to make their own judgment. These are all elements of biases in his works. If he brings his work to the university, we shall set it ablaze, it is garbage. We shall tear it apart”. Dr. AmaKye stated in anger on Kumasi based Angel monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

Mr. Amakye is not the only person to have descended on the ace investigative journalist for his latest piece which has put a number of football people under fire.

Maverick politician and Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has also described it in similar manner challenging the credibility of the investigation mechanism. In series of interviews on various media platforms, he accused Anas of entrapping persons captured in the investigative film dubbed “Number 12”. He further described Anas as very corrupt and went ahead to claim he has evidence to back what he said.

This has resulted in him being slapped with a GH¢25,000 defamation suit by Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger PI crew.

But the Political science lecturer in his analysis, though did not accuse Anas of being corrupt, is of the conviction the investigative film is filled with biases and cannot be trusted.

Dr. Amakye Boateng argued that since Anas depends on the investigative filming for a living, the element of biases are so much which he (Anas) cannot take out.

“This is why he has not been able to bring every single conversation he encounters during his investigations for the public to make their own judgment. That is why the video is edited”, he insisted.

The lecturer also wondered why Anas keeps on persuading people who refuse to take bribe until they fall into his trap.
