Akufo-Addo’s Voter Registration Details Sparks Reactions On Social Media

Ghanaians reacted after President Akufo-Addo has last night posted his Voter Registration Details on Social Media to indicate that the Electoral Commission shortcode for voter registration details is working properly.

“In addition to going to your respective registration centres to verify your voter registration details, you can also send your voter ID card number, just as I have done, to short code 1422 to confirm your voter ID details.” president Akufo-Addo posted on social media.

His name, Voter, Age, Gender, Polling Code, Polling Station, and the district all displayed.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana is currently exhibiting the Voter Register for voter registrants to verify their details are well captured in the register.

Meanwhile, the main opposition party is blaming the Electoral Commission after thousands of names are repeatedly missing in the register at some registration Centres.
