Akufo-Addo, Mahama are both focusing on useless stuff – Opuni Frimpong

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and John Dramani Mahama

Former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana Rev. Opuni Frimpong has accused both the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and John Dramani Mahama of focusing on issues of irrelevance.

To him, both political leaders have over the years focused on what will not push the development of the country and focus on unnecessary theatrics to generate unnecessary conversations.

Rev. Opuni Frimpong believes what these two leaders should focus on should be how to make lives better, constructing good roads and not making comments which draws the country back like the recent comment of John Dramani Mahama.

“Lately when you drive to Asamankese, Oda and even just here if you drive and come back, you have to go to the mechanical shop. Chiefs are demonstrating, young men and women are complaining about jobs. Let our governance systems focus on relevance.

Whether his comments are idiomatic expressions, they are all guilty. Nana Addo and President Mahama they are all guilty, they have not repented from those statements. Let us hear relevance, let the youth get jobs, don’t use those idiomatic expressions. Let us hear the quality of life.

The youth are demonstrating and asking for the country to be fixed, we have not heard anything on that but what we hear is all die be die, boot for boot and polling station will be what…Let us hear relevance from our political leaders. If we are not careful we are losing public confidence,” he said on Accra-based OKAY FM.
