A/R: Second year student allegedly shot by classmate at ADASS in Kumasi

A female student at the Adventist Senior High School in Kumasi has sustained severe injuries after she was allegedly shot in the head by another student in class on Friday morning.

The incident is said to have occurred during break time when Bernard Amoabeng, a Form Two student, brought a gun to school.
An argument reportedly ensued among the students over whether the gun was functional.

To prove that the weapon was working, the male student identified as Amoabeng allegedly fired the gun, accidentally shooting and injuring the victim.

The affected student sustained severe injuries and was initially rushed to Kwadaso Hospital but was later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital due to the severity of her condition.

The suspect was arrested by the Suame District Police.
