Controversial Executive Director of Irbard Security Consult, Alhaji Irbard Ibrahim has waded into the Power Distribution Services (PDS) controversy by carrying his infamous lectern to the PDS Headquarters in Accra in what many say is an attention-seeking disorder.

The young expert cum analyst has recently adopted a style of commenting on almost every issue in Ghana using a lectern style which has been mocked by many social media users.

He delivered his first “address to the nation” from the venue of the alleged coup plot late in September. He has since continued in similar fashion, making sometimes controversial statements to court attention.

“Even a pillow can be used for a coup d’état by smothering the President. Don’t expect Tomahawk Cruise Missiles for a coup. And no weapon is too basic,” Alhaji Ibrahim argued in a Facebook video last month.

He also warned against Ghana hosting Televangelist Benny Hinn and that Ghana was not a Christian nation. He cautioned that Mr Hinn’s sermons must be screened.

“Every church or mosque that intends to fly in a foreign preacher should work hand in hand with the state and the speeches of these foreign preachers should be vetted, screened and were necessary censored by Ghana’s authorities before they are delivered,” he said.

“We can’t tolerate this as a people in this black continent. Let’s all endeavour to strengthen the bond of brotherhood, good neighbourliness, mutual respect and tolerance for each other’s faith. God or Allah is neither American nor Israeli…we all worship a universal God, and Ghana and Africa do not need an American and Israeli or an Arab to tell us how to commune with our creator,” he had stressed.

On PDS, Mr. Irbard warned the government to take steps to remedy its seemingly broken relationship with the United States Government.
