Zeno Media, a streaming radio and audio content company with presence in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia and Central America says contrary to suggestions it is not an honest organisation, it has over the years been truthful to partners.

The remarks come on the back of a public notice by Multimedia Ghana Limited (MGL) that it had terminated its agreement with ZenoRadio/Media.

While stating that the termination “nullifies any streaming partnership agreement that the Multimedia Group Limited had with ZenoRadio/Media”, the Kokomlemle-based media house urged its listeners to “stop using ZenoRadio/Medias’ telephone numbers or mobile applications to access Multimedia Group Limited’s content.”

Reacting to the notice in a press statement released and signed by its Chief Executive Officer Morris Berger, Zeno Media said the publication painted a picture as though it is not an honest organization.

Below is the full statement

Dear Ghanaian Listeners:

It has recently come to Zeno Media’s attention that MGL has published a misleading statement on its website at https://www.adomonline.com/ghana-news/public-service-announcement-multimedia-group-limited-terminates-partnership-with-zenoradio-media/ notifying listeners that its contract with Zeno has been terminated and urging its listeners to stop using Zeno Medias’ telephone numbers or mobile applications to access MGL’s content. Zeno is also aware that MGL is announcing this statement live on the Joy FM and Adom FM MGL radio shows. Although in these announcements MGL does not directly disparage Zeno, MGL nevertheless suggests that Zeno is not an honest player and discourage other broadcasters from doing business with Zeno.

Zeno Media would like to take this opportunity to tell our side of the story …….

Zeno Media was formed in 2011 by a management team with over 65 years of experience in telecom and media, with a mission to empower broadcasters, engage listeners and create a global media powerhouse that connects diaspora communities around the world to their content from “back home.” Today, eight years later, Zeno is one of the world’s top-ten streaming radio and audio content companies with a presence in Africa, the Caribbean, Asia and Central America. Connecting millions of highly-engaged listeners in over 150 countries to the audio content they love, Zeno Media licenses exclusive global rights from its customer base of more than 7,000 broadcasters around the world to digitally distribute content focusing on news, politics, sports, religion, talk shows and other topics of interest.

Over the years, Zeno has brought technology development and transparency to the Ghanaian broadcasting industry by offering all its services such as truly unlimited streaming, mobile app development, call to listen and ad monetization at no charge to the broadcasters or listeners. In fact, instead of charging for all these upfront costs, Zeno is proud of its revenue sharing deals with broadcasters which are completely transparent

Zeno is very pleases with all the work it has done to help its listening and broadcaster communities such as offering free services to help the Gambian voices for freedom, helping the resistance against the brutal Burundi dictatorship, and offering services to Haitians in Haiti and abroad, following the devastating earthquake, and much, much more.

Zeno Media regards the allegations that have been made against the company as a very serious matter and intends to vigorously defend itself against these baseless claims by taking appropriate legal action in both the U.S. and Ghana.

As Zeno Media continues to grow its broadcaster base throughout the world and develops new technologies and revenue generating services, we look forward to many more fruitful years in the Ghanaian community.

Best Regards,

Morris Berger
CEO
