Ghana Police Rescue 12-Year-Old Boy from Brutal Assault in Viral Video

The Half Assini Divisional Police Command has successfully rescued a 12-year-old boy who was the victim of a brutal assault, captured in a disturbing viral video. The incident, which occurred in Ankasa, near Elubo in the Western Region, involved two men allegedly assaulting the boy over a suspected theft of GHc200.
According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service on June 24, 2025, the harrowing video showed the young boy tied with a nylon rope and suspended from a building’s roof while being severely beaten.
The police have since arrested the two suspects identified in the footage: Issah Morro, 58, and Suleman Addul Rashid, 27. Both men are currently in police custody and are cooperating with ongoing investigations.
The victim has received medical attention for his injuries and has since been reunited with his father.
