Watch how excited Yohuno was welcomed to Jubilee House for swearing-in by COP Kofi Boakye

The newly appointed Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, could not contain his excitement as he arrived at Jubilee House for his swearing-in ceremony by President John Dramani Mahama.
Dressed in his official police uniform, Yohuno was warmly received by the Director of Operations at the Office of the President, COP Nathan Kofi Boakye, a retired police commander.
He was accompanied by some high-ranking police personnel and some civilian guests in a video sighted by GhanaWeb.
His appointment follows the dismissal of former IGP George Akuffo Dampare.
A statement issued by the Minister of Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed that the appointment was made in accordance with the Constitution and in consultation with the Council of State.
“President John Dramani Mahama has, in accordance with Articles 91 and 202 of the 1992 Constitution and in consultation with the Council of State, appointed Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the Inspector-General of Police.
“He replaces COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare. COP Yohuno brings forty years of experience to the position of IGP and is expected to oversee the modernisation and transformation of the Ghana Police Service,” the statement said.
