Senator Natasha is a content creator for kissing husband in chambers – Senate spokesperson

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, Yemi Adaramodu, has said Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is a content creator for kissing her husband inside the Senate chambers on Wednesday.

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Adaramodu said the scene reminded him of the kind of stage drama pupils used to act back in his primary school days.

This was as he expressed displeasure that Natasha came to plenary with her husband amid a sexual harassment allegation she levelled against the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.

On the kissing scene, he said, “That was not pleasant. Very close to the plenary for a case over what?”

The Senate Spokesperson, however, admitted that kissing in the Senate was not illegal but morally and socially wrong.

He said, “It is not illegal, but it is socially, morally and politically wrong, but it is not illegal. So it doesn’t mean that all legal things are very good for adults to act.

“Like I said initially, this is just an episode of content creation, and then the content has been created, that is part of the skits in the content being created by our colleague, and the whole thing is ready.”

Adaramodu also spoke about the push against the Senate disciplinary committee which Natasha is supposed to face for disregarding the new seating arrangements in the chambers.

According to him, the law cannot be disregarded because it involves a woman whom he accused of engaging in infractions against the rules of the Senate.

He also dismissed Natasha’s claims that the change of seating arrangements in the Senate was not properly communicated to her, which explains why a drama ensued between her and Akpabio at plenary.
