Theophilus Teiko Tagoe Threatens Journalist

A middle aged man close to the presidency, Theophilus Teiko Tagoe has allegedly threatened to brutally assault media personality Kofi Owusu Aduonum for his (Kofi) involvement in the publication of a protracted legal tussle over parcels of lands in Accra.

Few months ago, the journalist was among media persons who covered and published Tagoe’s attempt to attack a window over a land at East Legon in Accra.

His constant harassment of the widow and rightful owners of lands and that of the widow resulted in the victim petitioning the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

According to the journalist, Tagoe called him on phone saying, “… if you are a man like I am, continue with with publications, I know where and how to deal with you. I know where your kids attend school at West Hills.”

Few months ago, the overlord of Gadangme State, Gborbu Wulomor-Shitse has as a matter of urgency petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Dampare to call Theophilus Teiko Tagoe to order.

In a petition letter from the office official the Gborbu Wulomor-Shitse to the police boss, it stated “I write to your esteemed office to bring to your attention an urgent matter that requires immediate investigation and action.

“Through these fraudulent misrepresentations and under the guise of enforcing the aforementioned Judgment, Mr Theophilus Teiko Tagoe has encroached upon and unlawfully taken possession of lands that rightfully belong to the Nungua Stool. His actions are not only illegal but also threaten the integrity and rightful ownership of the
Stool’s lands.”
