Mohbad: Court exonerates Naira Marley and Sam Larry; nurse and friend to face trial

A Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba in Lagos, has cleared popular singer Abdulazeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, of any involvement in the death of Aloba Oladimeji IleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad.

Presiding over the case, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje ruled that Naira Marley was not implicated in the death of the former signee.

Music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde, have also been acquitted.

However, the DPP stated that Mohbad’s auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and his friend, Ayobami Sadiq, will face prosecution for reckless and negligent acts, as outlined under Section 251 (e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

The trial is said to commence at the Magistrate Court.
