Yul Edochie dumps his ministry, turns to traditional religion

Yul Edochie turns to traditional religion

Nollywood actor, filmmaker and self-acclaimed priest, Yul Edochie has identified as a “hardcore traditionalist.”

Many people are surprised by this discovery because last year the controversial actor launched The Salvation Ministry, an online church.

Yul Edochie strongly implied that he had converted to the traditional religion when he said in a recent Instagram post that he would never give up the faith of his ancestors.

He asserted that Africans are abandoning their traditional religions out of fear of public opinion.

He wrote: “Because of fear of what people will say, Africans are running away from their powerful religion, their originality. Abomination!

“I will never abandon the ways of my forefathers. It is built on truth, transparency, and fairness. I’m a hardcore traditionalist.”

Yul Edochie had also asserted in December 2024, that many Nigerian pastors were originally meant to be local doctors but had given up on their vocation since the film industry and Westerners viewed native doctors as “evil.”
