Background

Lois Abena Koranteng, a petroleum engineering graduate from KNUST, was reportedly found unconscious in a pool while on a business trip with her boss and his driver on 8 June 2024.

According to reports, Lois, her boss, and his driver had booked separate rooms at a hotel in Takoradi for the night.

However, in the early hours of 8 June 2024, a hotel worker discovered Lois’s body in the hotel’s swimming pool, dressed only in a bra and underwear.

She was rushed to the nearest hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

After an official complaint was filed, police conducted an autopsy to determine whether foul play was involved. The autopsy revealed no cuts or bloodstains on her body.

The hotel claimed that its CCTV cameras were not functioning at the time of the incident, preventing the availability of footage.

Investigations are ongoing as the family seeks answers regarding the circumstances surrounding their daughter’s death.
