Watch Black Stars’ first training in Accra ahead of Angola match in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers

Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, opened camp with ten players participating in the first training session held at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The training, which took place on Monday, September 2, 2024, saw eight outfield players and two goalkeepers taking part.

The team included captain Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Thomas Bradon Asante, Tariq Lamptey, Jonas Adjetey, Ibrahim Osman, Fatawu Issahaku, and Ebenezer Anang.

Asante Kotoko’s Fredrick Asare and Jojo Wollacott were the only goalkeepers present.

Otto Addo has named his 23-man squad, comprising 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 7 forwards for the double header in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers.

The remaining 13 players are expected to join the team before their departure to Kumasi on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

The Black Stars will host Angola in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before visiting Niger on September 9.
