Mohammed Kudus stars as West Ham beat Crystal Palace in first win of the season
Ghana attacker, Mohammed Kudus featured in West Ham United’s away win at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers opened their 2024/25 Premier League campaign with a 2-1 home defeat against Aston Villa last weekend.
However, Julen Lopetegui, who is the head coach for the side named the 24-year-old in his starting squad for the game against the Eagles at the game at Selhurst Park.
After a barren first half, Tomas Soucez and Jarod Bowen both scored in the second half to ensure the Hammers recorded a 2-0 win.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus saw 88 minutes of action before he was replaced with Jean-Clair Todibo.
Kudus had 35 touches of the ball and made two crosses of which one was successful.
Also, Kudus had six successful dribbles out of eight attempts and won nine ground duels out of 14 attempts as well as losing possession nine times.
Kudus will hope to score his first goal of the campaign when West Ham host Bournemouth in the EFL Cup in round two on Wednesday at the London Stadium before hosting Manchester City next weekend in the Premier League.
