Highlighting the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ2) initiative, he dismantles barriers to entry and promotes sustainable farming zones for climate-smart agricultural practices. This approach aims at achieving self-sufficiency in staple crops while enhancing broiler production and processing.
Mr. Manish Gupta, the Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, emphasizes the enduring partnership between the two nations, focusing on technological integration to boost agricultural output for international trade.
Collaborating with esteemed partners like WACOA, CropLife Ghana, and others, the upcoming Wegvoraus Exhibition will host the 3rd Agritech West Africa Exhibition from March 19th to 21st, 2024, alongside the Food & Beverage Ghana Foodpack Tech Ghana exhibition.
With support from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Ghana, the event promises to cover the entire agricultural value chain, attracting exhibitors from various regions showcasing diverse products.
In addition to fostering technological integration and sustainable farming practices, the collaborative efforts of stakeholders aim to address key challenges faced by smallholder farmers, such as access to markets and storage facilities. By providing support networks and facilitating market linkages, these initiatives seek to empower farmers and enhance their resilience in the face of evolving agricultural landscapes.
